[ It can be seen clearly the
difference between the young people in the 70s and those at present in term of
the aim of life, the living standard, and the belief. First of all, during the
70s, people in Vietnam were
fighting in the war with America.
Thus, their aim of life is to fight for the freedom of the whole country while
people at present living in a peaceful society have the goal of building the
country. All people have been trying their best to turn the coin try into a
modern and developed country. Secondly, the living standard between in the 70s
and at present is very different from one another. The living standard now is
much higher than that in the past. Nowadays, people not only want to support
their family enough but they also need to eat and wear better than that in the
past. Moreover, the need to relax is still very important in the modern life.
Thirdly, the belief of the people in the two periods quite differs. In the
past, the relationship is very natural and they always get on well with each
other . People have the same equality, no one is jealous of the others:
whereas, people now are much more practical than in the past. They tend to
follow the individualism. In conclusion, people in the two periods have lots of
the opposite sides. It may be due to the development trend of each society. ]
Do young people today make good use of their leisure
time?
[ According to my opinion,
the young people today are using the time not spare their own. As we know, time
is very valuable things for each person, especially with young people - those
who spend a lot of time to study and work. They are the dream and ambitious in
life. But there is a sad fact that young people today, some people outside the
placement time of the most young people spend time to sleep, or play games,
sitting consistently, even to participate in currency social problem. Very few
people know to Web reading newspapers, looking for documents and knowledge. In general,
young people do not have a schedule and is useful for yourself. Therefore,
spare time was use of waste to the stodgy, moderate cost, moderate damage to
himself and does not work for work, for study. Therefore, young people now need
to review ourselves, to use time in a reasonable time not to pass a waste. ]
How to be successful in your English learning
[ In recent time, learning
English has become popular for each person who wants to exist in a modern
society. Thus, the way to learn English is very important, especially learning
this language successfully. Firstly, learners should read anything related to
English as much as possible. And then, they can choose the topics they are
interested in reading. During reading materials, they can know how the native
speakers use the language both in speaking and in writing. Reading English
materials also support the learns with the background knowledge of the native
speakers. Secondly, learners should spend one or two hours listening English.
People can start listening English songs, then they listen the tapes in which
there are lots of exercises for them to practice listening skill. Through
listening, learns can imitate the sound and the intonation in language of the
native. Imitation in learning a foreign language is very important because it
can help you speak the language naturally. Third, learns also try to
communicate with the foreigners in English spoken countries. The more you
practice speaking English, the more fluently you communicate with other foreigners.
It also makes you very confident to talk or to share a lot things with your
foreign friends. In short, each person has his/ her own way to learn English
successfully. It depends on how he/ she exerts himself/herself. ]
It is hard to imagine people can live without friend.
[ Many people have said that
we can’t live without friends. I totally agree with this point of view. There
are many reasons why I support this idea. First of all, we do not live alone.
As human being, we have a need in sharing our feeling both happiness and sad.
There is a saying that “ sorrow shared is sorrow halved, and joy shared is joy
double “. This world and life will be nothing if we do not have any friends
near by. Secondly, friends can bring us joys and happiness. Friends also help
and give us good advice when we meet difficulties or problems in life. With
friends we feel more confident in facing to challenge in life. It is friends
who are present in our success. Therefore friends play an important role in our
life, we can’t live without friends. ]
It is sometimes said that many problems would
disappear if the world speak one language. Do you agree?
[ In my opinion, many
problems would disappear if the world speak one language. When people use the
same language. It means that there will not be the language barrier.
Consequently, people can communicate with each other much better than they use
different language. It is equivalent that people can understand deeply the
other ones. That makes people have good relationship. In our society, the
relationship is very important because it links everyone in a community. When
all the people get on well with each other, they will become good people in the
society. People all live in a peaceful environment. Moreover, the language represent
for the own culture or the character of each country, to some extend it can
result in the race discrimination among the countries. This problem still
exists in the modern world. If we can eliminate this issue, all the counties
will be the friends for each other for the general development of the world.
People can not see war, poverty, crisis, etc. In general, it would be better as
the world speak one language. ]
Overpopulation causes a lot of problems to social and
economic development. Discuss and prove the problem.
[ Overpopulation can causes a
lot of problems to the social development. Detail, it affects directly the
economic, cultural development and the social security. In term of the economic
development, when the population increases too much, it can cause the
unemployment. People will lack the job so they can not support enough for their
family and their living standard is low. It may make the GDP of the country
lower, than as usual. Moreover, the culture of the country can have a bad
effect in some extend. The number of the youth in Vietnam
has been increasing sharply so they nowadays are affected by the foreign
culture which is much different from Vietnam culture. Their lifestyle
sometimes dose not follow the natural development of the society or their
behavior is not civilized like committing the social evils. In addition, when
the population is in the bloom, the social security is not good enough for the
people’s life. People can see the number of people committed crime increasing.
They have to be vigilant over each other. In short, overpopulation is very
disadvantageous for the whole society. ]
Tell me of the advantages of living in a city.
[ Living in the city has both
advantages and disadvantages. Some of the advantages can be highlighted as
follows. First, thanks to the urban development, it is usually easier to get
access to state of the art science and technology and convenient public such
electricity , water, public transportation than living in less development
areas like a rural village. Second, it is undoubtedly a good environment for
young people to receive quality education and training as well as employment
opportunities. Third, an urban life would also offer a good opportunity for any
individual to exhaustively of jobs out there. Last but not least, to a certain
extent, a city dweller would normally be considered of higher social status in
comparison to one living in the rural area because is it oftentimes thought
that an urban person would have more opportunities to access a modern
lifestyle. ]
The good and bad of using the computer
[ In modern time, computer is
a useful instrument for us. By Internet network, we can contact with the out
world by day, by hour, updating continuously much information about all of
fields Such as: Society, Science, Sport, Entertainment...This is not only the
most useful transmission means but also it help us (to) study, entertain after
doing strain hours by some games or music. However, Besides that convenient the
computer has also limitations. By using computer isn’t healthful purpose it can
cause seriously harmful things for ourselves and Society. Hackers use computer
to rob information, money of companies, individual. Other people can give
healthful information and picture...Entering phantasmal world make many people
not interest real life. Moreover, When we use computer much, it will harm for
our eyes. So, good or bad in using computer depend on user’s purpose. ]
Three immediate measures to solve the traffic problem
in your city
[ In some great urban
centers, traffic problem is one of the most
complicated ones that need solving immediately. Generally, there are
some suggestions for solving this problem. First of all, the authority should
invest in traffic infrastructure and public transport system. For example,
there is not the underground in Vietnam.
A lot of people can go and they don't need to spend lost of time to go
somewhere they want. We can reduce the number of people taking part in
transporting on road especially in rush hour. Moreover, the government should
have the plan to reduce the resident density inside the city. Normally, people
only like to live and work in the centre of the city. The streets and houses
are very narrow so people living there have a lot of difficulty in transporting.
In comparison with this, people not only in the urban center but also around
the neighborhood all come there to live and work. Furthermore, the government
should develop new urban areas in the outskirt of the city. That can make the
traffic in the city much more congested. The number of the people can be
divided equally in all the parts of the city in order to make the traffic
better in the near future. Hopefully that some above solutions can help to
solve the traffic problem in the city. ]
What I do to help keep my neighborhood clean
[ Nowadays environment
pollution is in creasing day by day due to wastes exhausted from factories ,
industrial zones and people who are unaware of their neighborhood in particular
clean. I think that I should do the following things. First of all, I try to
keep my house clean by sweeping it every day and putting garbage in the right
places. Secondly, I will call for people in my area to make a conscious effort
to keep the neighborhood hygiene by sorting garbage not throwing it
indiscriminately. Besides, I also participated in the organization to protect
the local environment. ]
What I do to help the poor children
[ No one wants to be poor,
because poverty makes People suffer great misery and brings shame upon oneself.
In reality, in Vietnam,
there are a lot of poor and homeless children. Instead of going to school at
their age, they have to earn money by selling lottery tickets, begging for
something or work in bars, inns…It is the big problem that we need the
cooperation of people around the world to solve. I can’t afford to organize a
big program to help all of the poor children, but I try to do my best to help
them .For example, when I meet a child begging for something on the street. I
will give him or her some money, and buy some food for him. Especially. I have
helped the poor boy who lives near my house to give him some books and some
other in order that him could go to school. Besides, I also hold a free class
so that poor children can get know ledge with out paying free to go to school.
What I can do to help the poor children is very small, but I Feel happy when. I
do that meaningful work. Hopping that many people like to do something out of
charity to help poor people have better life. ]
What I do to maintain good friendship
[ Friendship is really
important in our life, so we should care much of our friendship. However, it is
not easy to have a good friendship, but it is more difficult to keep our
friendship going on. In order to maintain good friendship, I thinks I should do
the following things. First of all, I certainly love and in any
situation,Secondly,I try to keep a close contact with my friends by phoning or
inviting them to go out for a meal or drink. Thirdly, I will help them when
they meet difficult and troubles in life. There is a saying that “a friend in
need is a friend indeed”, so everyone always needs help from their friends in
hard times. Finally, I always remind me that I should not cheat my friends. We
should be honest and faithful in friendship. I hope that by doing the above
things we can grow friendship permanently. ]
What novel or short story did you read recently? What do you think about it?
[ In free time, I am
interested in reading books, especially the novel “Kane and Abel” which as
written by Jeffrey Archer. Even though, it was published long time ago, it now
has been famous nowadays because of its value on literature. According to
famous literature critic, Jeffrey Archer was considered one of the top ten
writers in the modern world. From my point of view, it’s really an interesting
novel that I have ever real until now. The content of the whole novel tells us
about the two destinies who they have an opposite life. Through the novel,
there are lots of thrilling details that attracts the readers. Two main
characters are Kane and Abel having the enmity so they always compete for each
other. No one can think the fight between two men can come to the end. However,
their children fall in love with each other. That makes both of the dads very
angry and they do not agree with their children’s wedding. Finally, their
daughter’s happy life can make the long feud between two families lost. After
reading the whole story, I can see a nice thing that the emotion among people
even outside the family is much more important than other thing in life. No one
can live without the soul which can heal all the sorrow. ]
What should the young people do to get himself/
herself ready for the future?
[ Undoubtedly, an individual
since his or her birth will go through various steps in their life journey
with different degrees of expectations
and achievements. It is true that to achieve success later in the life journey,
one must get ready for the challenging tasks ahead. One of the things that an
individual needs to prepare when younger is to get education to the best extent
possible. This is because individual with a certain level of education, would
definitely make them socially employable after wards. They would have a better
chance of getting success then other wise. Secondly, equally important is the
mapping of that one wishes to be in, say, 20 years, time. That is one must
envisage what she/ he wishes to be come at a certain date off now. These two
preparations, amongst other, should evidently be mutually supportive, if one is
keen about the future successes. ]
Which do you think have played more important part in
your life?
[ Everyone has friends and
family, both of them play a very important part in my life. It's difficult to
say that friends of family, which have play more important part in my life.
Family is a place where i was born and grew up. There are my parents, brother,
sister…, they are persons who is very closely connected with all my life.
There, my father and my mother took
care, brought, protected, taught me when i was a child. Now, when i am an
adult, they always encourage me as I fail, I am tired. And they are the first
persons that i share the happiness. Family is an origination, no matter how far
i am away from home, I can't forget my family Besides, I can't live without
friends, they are always besides me, help me when I am difficult, share sadness
and happiness, they make mo more confident. In my opinion, friends and family,
they all have played an important part in my life. I can't live with family and
friends. To me family is as important as friends. ]
Why many young people do not like Vietnamese films
[ Nowadays there are a lot of
Vietnamese films made to support our mental need, but we have to accept the
truth that many young people do not like Vietnamese films. In my opinion, the
following reason are the main causes of that condition. Firstly, the contents
of Vietnamese films are monotonous. They always follow the boring ways. When we
are in the middle of a films wecan guess the end of the film, so they can’t
have a good impression on viewers. Secondly, the young have a lot of
opportunities to watch lots of interesting from other countries in the world
through mass media, so they can compare
Vietnamese films with foreign films made with modem technique and dangerous
stunning scenes which are rarely seen in VN film. Besides, the way that actors
and actress show in films is unnatural because they are not edu cated and
trained well in doing art. Should think
that, in order to have a good film,we must learn the advance of making films
from other countries, and we should invest much more money and energy in a
films. ]

[ Last weekend my close
friend and I watched a film on TV, which is considered interesting and
attractive by many people. My friend liked it very much but I did not like it
all. There are some reasons why I did not like that film. First of all, it was
a kind of commercial film, which was made with out a deep investment. The
content of the film was very boring because it was nearly the same with other
Korean films had ever watch before. This film talked about a young girl from a
poor countryside coming to a big city in order to seek a better life. She met
and then loved a young man who was her boss. After that the boss loved another
girl who is more beautiful. I felt that the film did not give a good lesson to
me, it just only a love story that make you feel pessimistic about life.
Further more, the ways the actors and actresses on the film showed are not
good. They expressed grudgingly, that made me feel uncomfortable. After seeing that
film I think that I should not spend my time on the thing that is useless. ]
